Anvil's Ascent - What and why.

((Here, then, is the foundation of what we're doing in CoX. It's deliberately vague... but is still open to revision. *grins* At this point in time, then...: ))

Anvil's Ascent was formed by Sack O'Anvils on the somewhat cryptic instructions from his superiors, the Divine Nephilic Council. Not seeing fit to inform as to why he was to form the group, or indeed why some of his recruits have been mentioned specifically, O'Anvil and his squad await the revelation of what lurking evil they are to combat... and in the meantime, are improving their skills, training hard, and making a name for themselves in Paragon City.

Unbeknownst to them...

The Divine Nephilic Council has for some time been keeping a wary eye on the affairs of an up-and-coming villain, the charismatic Orange Ordeal. Recently, Ordeal has put out a rallying cry to villains of the Rogue Isles, beginning to gather a group to himself. Ultimately, the Infernal Nephilic Council has sent Bagg O'Anvils, freshly sprung from the Zigg, to aid the Orange Ordeal. This intervention by the Infernal Council tipped the Divine Council's hand, forcing them to take action in the form of Anvil's Ascent.

Fate must have a hand in this, however, as many of those answering the call of Ordeal have connections with those flocking to Sack's standard.

How will this end? When even the angels and demons themselves take sides in mortal affairs, only God knows...

Yippiee! Thanks, big guy! We should talk a bit about Orange Ordeal and such soon...long to play him, and we need to discuss a bit about just how far into this mess he actually is. Concept-wise, he's the Joker, not the devil in disguise. ^^
