City of VILLAINS, Beodric. Do try to keep up, there's a good chap.

The tone is the Batman Series. Think the fifties, bright colours, lots of humour and slapstick...

My tag is Dr. Vortex. My villain so to speak... An english psychiatrist, which although eccentric has had a mental breakdown with several quirks to follow.

And my hero. Gloomwing. A candyfloss, bubblegum-eating teenager with dreams of prom night and the handsome Mark Austin at school... She is of course a sidekick, to one of you guys if that can be arranged

With that in mind, then, I give you my creations... Twins, both Nephilim (obscure Biblical reference, Gen 6:4: "The Nephilim were on the earth in those days - and also afterward - when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, the men of renown."
(I'm actually working on a far more serious book with this as the starting premise, so this is a nice departure for me. )

To cut a long story short, there was a bit of a mix-up when the twins were assigned their representative factions, and the naturally callous Sack O'Anvils was assigned Angelic status, where as his brother Bagg was assigned demonic.

Introducing, then:

My villain, Bagg O'Anvils, a horned and fearsome demonic Nephilim of immense strength, who loves kittens, small children, and runs a soup kitchen in his spare time, who wishes he didn't have to be so unpleasant all the time, since people could be quite decent if just given the chance...

And my hero, his estranged brother Sack O'Anvils, also one of the Nephilim, though angelic instead of demonic. He spends his spare time knocking lowlevel gang members around for "spoiling the look of the place." An irritable and innately violent person, he is in a permanently bad mood because he has to serve the cause of good and righteousness, and because he envies his brother's role. Nevertheless, he always acts in a passably heroic manner, albeit with no enjoyment of it (except the violence) and with a grumpy attitude about the whole thing.

Neither have managed to advance beyond entry-level rank within the Nephilim hierarchy due to their inherent unsuitability for their roles. They have been sent to Paragon City and the Rogue Isles by their respective leaders, in the hopes that being surrounded by such extreme examples of heroism and villainy will finally settle them into their prescribed duties.

((*grins* I get the feeling your bubblegum-chewing heroine will make Sack want to eat his own face, Lira. AWESOME. If you don't find any other takers for a sidekick, I'll happily go for it. Sack would of course have to accept, since he's a "hero" after all and bound to it. ))

I present my creation! (Just the one... havn't got round to making a Villain yet.)

Mind Marvel! Once Samuel Woods this teenage immigrant from Surrey, England, came to the USA with his parents and siblings forcing him to complete his studies over in the States. Little did he know that he was special, and not long after arriving on US soil, a late puberty development began to take hold of him. Still unsure and confused by the change, struggling to support his studies, Sam is the perfect candidate for a Sidekick!(Global Chat Handle: @Mind Marvel)

Beodric - the trial is for both city of heroes and villains - it is a same game as of lately.

And everyone

I suggest we decide shall we play villains or heroes, playing both will be to time consuming, and we will have hard time forming groups

Heroes side has generaly better suited classes for group play, and more powerful aswell. Story is better.

Villain side has better looking enviroments. Characters are more soloable. But you are evil , which is kind of reward in itself , muahahahaha !

I must say that - game play wise Heroes are much better - except for missing mastermind class. Also, in the game both heroes and villains fight the same enemy groups.

But all in all roleplaying villain is more fun, i guess.

Rather annoyingly, I waited for CoH to finish downloading and sorting itself out ... then it promptly went and made itsself into the US version despite downloading the euro version direct from plaync.

Nothing stopping us from forming a hero group.

Personally, I like heroes.

Then again, Villians WOULD be awsomely cool.

i like my villians to be be singular with henchmen, its more cliche and cheesy then.

plus if we went the hero route ... we could make our own x-men thingy alliance style ... except perhaps with less competence
