The character presentations, Candil takes charge!

Candil volonteered - a long time ago - to help kickstart the character introduction pages. I have been lazy and not announced this but here goes. She has my blessigs to start poking around and do all the kinds of investigations she needs for this.

Naturally, you are in control of your own characters which means you can tell Candil pretty much anything about how you want the presentation to be. However the main idea is that this should be a sort of in character third-person description. Many have before expressed that this would be a better idea than that we write our own descriptions.

Alrighty then! As Sayv has said, I'm going to be working on making character pages for the Thorns, with your help, obviously. There are several important factors to this if it's going to work, so i think firstly i should cover what I'm actually planning on doing, then we can sort things out for individuals.

The Typey Part
The main part of a character profile page is evidently going to be about the character, and most likely in words . That difficulty put firmly aside, there are multiple possibilities on just how the text is going to be done. Firstly, and most simply is writing me up an ooc description of your character. Not very interesting on it's own. Therefore, additionally, other members of the Thorn, or friends from outwith our company can also participate in the writing, if they wish. This would be independent of you, unless you want to ask them to avoid mentioning certain stuff (eg: ''Felaion has a superfluous nipple''). Of course, it doesn't just have to be a friend of your character who types your profile. If you're up to it, the profile could be from the perspective of your character's arch-nemesis! Go for whichever interests you more. Just as a matter of fairness, try not to ask someone to do your profile who you know is already doing another persons. Finally, if your character has a creative side, happens to write epic romance, or lewd limerics, when they aren't cleaving uruk heads from their shoulders, feel free to add this.

The Arty Part(y)
The text in your profile is all very well, but there's no fun in reading through a whole load of writing if you don't get visual treats too! You can add anything you like, doodles, paintings, sculptures may be a bit tricky, but screenshots are good, as long as you get rid of the text. Just have fun and don't be afraid to ask for ideas. As for asking for piccies to be done by other people, bear in mind that good art takes an awful long time, so don't press anyone for help, and if they agree, don't pressurise them about when it will be done!

We're only at the very first stages of this right now, so if people would reply here with their willingness to join in with this, and if you have anything already that you think could be added to your page, let me know about it! sounds like i've got a good selection of disciples, erm, interested bystanders? i'd like some discussion if possible on what we're gonna be doing, as i don't wanna be off on a tangent from what you guys are thinking . Basically, what sort of style do we want this? the only possibilities i've come up with so far are an officer book if we want a pseudo-IC approach, for the friends/aquaintances of the subject texts (please someone think of an easier way to say that for me ). another possibility is a simple scrap book, but they often need an awful lot of work to get the scrappy look curses.

if you wanna ask around and see who would like to write for you, that would be lovely, then let me know once people have managed to sort it out. i'd suggest two people writing them together about the third person, for a bit of variety, but it's up to you guys. I may try and grab some people for myself to do candil as an example, however arty-farty stuff may take a while because i paint at a snails pace
