Anvil's Descent

Anvil's Descent

29th April, 1979

"Sack. He's been Sacked." spread the word, passing swiftly through the remaining members of the Anvil's Ascent, striking them like a hard lump of hefty metal. "How? Why?" arose the question. Far to common it was these days, and all. Especially since one of their brightest, Mind Marvel had completely dissapeared without trace late on the Night Before Crhistmas, 1978. Whatever was happening, it sure wasn't normal. Heck, though. When was life as a hero normal?

There's only one thing that's for certain. They say there'll be an explanation. Soon, too. Best keep your eyes out.

One Last Week

For one week, we're inviting past members of the Anvil's Ascent to come and help send her off in style before Champions Online. All are welcome, and thus for this week, the base is repaid, open and hungering for the RP it misses!

Dates for small missions built by our very own Wulf will be on hand for your enjoyment! Hope to see ya'll there... see above for your hook!

Alright! This, then, is how it will be done!

The first mission of the arc is published (under Anvil's Descent, for the search. If this still doesn't bring us up first then search for Wulfy.) While we tried to incorporate story into the text of the mission, only the Taskforce leader (team leader who selects the arc) will be able to read it without fiddling around with clues.

Thus, then, I shall create a new thread, with "BEFORE MISSION X" and "AFTER MISSION X" entries, that you can read to get the background on the mission (and, for new joiners, a bit of background on the Ascent as a whole.)

This will result in **SPOILERS** if you read them all at once. Shockin'. ;)

I've been/am busier than I'd like to be this weekend, but rest assured I'm workin' on it! :)

I may well be free Monday night, if not we'll try for Tuesday, if that's okay! :)

EDIT: The mission preamble is posted in the Library. :)

Shall we try for about 6.30 UK time tonight? 7 if people have trouble?

And Adj, if you could make it on a different night, holler and we'll reschedule! :)

Dagnabbit! The forum has again neglected to tell me of updates! Sorry guys, I always check new posts by hitting the View New Posts button, and it is acting up again. I'll strive to put some effort into checking up on updates. Hope you had a great run nonetheless. :)

It was fully epic, bro... but only the first section was completed! :) I daresay we're going to try again tomorrow night, to finish the run, if you're interested. :)

I unfortunately crashed during part 2 and spent ages getting back in ... including having to reactivate my account as yesterday seemed to be the day for turning off the free week.

Yeah... I was a tad dischuffed, since I thought my account didn't run out for a while, but mine went down that night too. Another 18 pound is comin' off the card tonight, I fear...

Yeah, I got forced into buying more time myself that night... pretty early on.

Will we be starting again from the beginning of part two? I feel it should be done from there, the atmos is important!

Sounds good to me.

Wish I could bring Theca along. Sack is virtually unkillable, but he doesn't dish out the AoE like the Green Gladiator... :D

If by some miracle the forum allows you to read this, Adj, will you be in tonight? :)
