The Guild on TOR Forums

Postby kellidir » Mon Nov 14, 2011 8:52 pm

Hiya Folks,

I've invited a bunch of people from Champions Online that I RP with on a daily basis to the BT guild on the TOR forums as they're cool folks. There's no requirement for us all to be in the same guild once we're in the game, but its a cool way of making sure everyone I like is on the same RP server.

Yup, I made sure everyone can invite - the main purpose for the nameholding guid is to get all us folks who like each other on the same server. Whatever happens next can follow on at our own pace, although having spent a lot of time playing in the Beta weekend, I must say I'm pretty hyped for it all! Now that I've had time to fiddle with classes, I finally have a character profile that I shall be submitting for approval. Not for any reason other than that I value your opinion in the creation of original, unique, interesting engaging, all-round allright roleplaying characters!

Something to bear in mind ...

No Cross Faction Guilds
No Use of General Chat channels for Cross Faction chat

The first annoys me as it ties guilds intrinsically to PVP.

The second doesn't bother me, the first thing I do in any MMO is turn off Zone/General/Trade chat to limit spam.

It's not really surprising though, is it?

Does this mean it's possible to interact in a non-violent fashion cross-faction? Because that's pretty cool anyhow.

yes it should be possible.

The only reason they limit cross faction stuff in general is because of people being abusive :/

People are jerks, it's a fact.

Doubly so on the interwebz.

Pity, really. I see your point. Ah well.

I have assigned us a guild ally which has friends of people in our guild. This should help get us on an active RP server.

Yeah, good work. I noted that guid has many RP guild allies itself, so this should work out well for us.

Rather looking forwards to all this.

I took the liberty of assigning all our guild Allies for the very purpose of getting everyone I know onto the same server.

Guilds are now frozen for deployment, so no changes can be made.
