Campfire Tales: The Awakening.

Campfire Tales

Campfire Tales is a new concept we are working on. The key to CT is that it is small events that "closes" everytime. Instead of making a long campaign, where rpers feel stressed and obligated to join everytime, we deliver an event where situations only functions as a backdrop and the consequences of the rpers actions can freely be portrayed elsewhere. That way, we think we are creating freedom for all of us and prevent people getting out of the loop, as they easily can join another event.

The Awakening

The Awakening is the first event under the Campfire Tales concept. We have a backdrop and an objective and thats it! The rest is up to you. Suffice to say, there are different lvls of RP skill between us. So this event has also been created for your questions in the Kinship channel. All off us will chip in, to create the environment we want. so this event and the following ones should be seen as an opportunity to get together and find a consensus of playing...

Info about the event will be posted to you *In Character* alongside the date and time.

Until then... *salutes*

Sincerely

L

Aye, sounds a grand idea! I particularly like your "episodal" approach... And with a world as diverse as LOTRO, it'll be very easy to work character absences from particular events into backstory.
I like the way you think...

Uhm... is it postponed until Friday 11 May or Sunday 13 May?

This is kind of important since Friday 11 I am definately not available and Sunday 13 I don't know.

I likely won't be able to attend - Sunday evening is usually pretty packed for me.
Hopefully I can at least make an appearance!

(( Ok, I just got final word on my travels on Sunday the 13th of May. Seems that at the time this event starts I'm 40 minutes away from having my feet on the ground. After that it'll be TBC + TTR minutes before I can join, where TBC is the time it takes to claim my baggage at the airport (25 ± 10) and TTR is the ride by train which normally is 60. Hence I will be back online somewhere between 2100 and 2200 CET

I suggest you go forward anyway at the designated time. It is important that we get these events going :) )).

Campfire Tales Summary: The Awakening.

The brothers and sisters of the Black Thorn at last saw their legacy among ruins of old.
Deep within the Bimbole Woods they were led to a temple, dedicated to the Numenorean bloodline.
A forgotten testimony of valor, strength and friendship, across racial prejudices. A testimony of the Old Alliances.

They were given an assignment. Too solve a conflict with an old awakened willow tree.
Not understanding fully at first they took the misson with doubt in their hearts,
knowing full well what lay ahead of them and the difficulty of the task at hand.
They were left on their own, without leadership. Lirandel and Sayvara leaving them,
to their own devices and fate.

It first dawned that the misson had been a test of their own outlook and perception of things.
when both the officers of the Thorn had met them, unafraid of the old tree.
In truth the willow was lost, and through this bewilderment had become full of sadness,
because all of its kin had left it behind.

In the end. It was hard to say who was the real monster indeed...

But one thing got through...
